A COVID-infected 110-year-old woman named Siddamma discharged from the hospital in Chitradurga, Karnataka, today after recovering from the novel coronavirus. The woman was tested positive on 27th July along with a few family members and therefore was taken to the hospital for treatment.
As per the resources, The woman stays in the police quarters, has a considerable family, five children, 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. The woman was also content with the facilities she received in the hospital.
Moreover, being allegedly asked whether she was terrified after the positive test, Siddamma stated, “I am not afraid of anyone.” Her incredible resilience depicted in her behaviour.
For her heroic perseverance, she was commended by a team of doctors and paramedical staff and walked out of the hospital with the support of four people.
It would not be wrong to say this record provides a glimmer of hope for the corona fighters, and it also encourages the medical saviours who have been toiling day and night to save the people of our country.
Undoubtedly, there have been numerous cases of tragic suicides in India, of people who not been able to survive the detrimental effects of this virulent virus. Despite that, Siddamma proves how one can combating the death-dealing virus with indomitable courage and tenacity.
