New Delhi: A 13-year-old girl from Delhi will represent India during the upcoming Panorama International Literature Festival 2022. Anantinee (JHUMPA) Mishra, one of the youngest writers from India, a Prodigy Author, Content Creator, TED Speaker and Podcaster, is the youngest speaker to address a global audience during the international event, to be attended by eminent writers from across the world.
A student of the Mother’s International School, New Delhi, Jhumpa is passionate about literature. While she considers writing to be her calling; there is little more tempting to her than the smell of books; musky in the new, fresh pages and familiar in the older, classic ones. So far she has published five books namely ‘Treasure of Short Stories’, ‘Manhattan to Munnar’, ‘Amalgam’, ‘Manhattan ru Munnar’ (In Odia) and ‘Khazana Kahaniyon Ka’ (In Hindi). Her topic during the event would be ‘Void: the beginning and the end.
Panorama International Literature Festival conducted by Writers Capital Foundation is scheduled to be held from January 1 – 30. Due to the pandemic, the event will be held virtually this year too. The festival also features live performances and pre-recorded sessions. Apart from eminent writers from across the world, the event is attended by writers from various Indian languages too. The audience will have an opportunity to witness a number of literary festivals, including poetry recitations, speeches, discussions etc.
This year’s Panorama International Literature Festival with the theme ‘Shoonya’: The Celestial Void, aims to revive the field of metaphysical literature that has been forgotten in modern times. The festival is conducted via offline and online venues where poets from various Indian languages are participating in curated sessions led by prominent contemporary poets.
