Odisha recorded 3861 new COVID cases in the last 24 hours which mount the total cases to 127k.The State has about 27k active COVID cases. 96k COVID patients in Odisha have recouped so far. Out of these 2278 were in quarantine and rest 1583 are local contact cases.
53 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours, taking the total confirmed cases in the state to 1.27 lakh. This includes 30,919 active cases and 556 deaths.

Khordha reports the highest 767 COVID19 cases district-wise in the last 24 hours followed by Cuttack Puri, Jharsugura, Rayagada State Pool, Mayurbhanj, sonepur with 386, 200, 199, 153, 140, 122, 117 COVID cases respectively.
Total 2 million samples have been tested so far. 67.8% of total 127k positive cases are males and 32.2% of total cases are females.
55.5% of total 127k positive cases are from 15-40 year age criteria. 30.1% of total 127k positive cases are from 40-60 year age criteria. 8.6% and 5.8% of total 127k positive cases are from above 60 year age people and from 0-14 year age criteria respectively.
India has taken the second position in the tally of the countries adversely hit by the Covid pandemic after a record spike of 90,802 new cases over the 24 hours, taking the nation’s count to 42 lakh, the Union Health Ministry demonstrated today.
