Abhishek Banerjee of the TMC issues a dharna threat in Delhi for MGNREGA funding for Bengal


According to Abhishek Banerjee, the party has already begun work on a signing drive to gather 10 million signatures from residents of the state. Abhishek Banerjee, national general secretary of the Trinamool Congress (TMC), threatened to stage an ongoing sit-in protest in Delhi if the federal government refused to give West Bengal state money for the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS).

After the Trinamool-e Naba Jowar (new wave at the grass roots), the party’s most recent outreach initiative, ends, I’ll fly to Delhi.
