The Adani Skill Development Center (ASDC), which is part of the Adani Foundation, recently won an important award for their use of technology. They were recognized by the CII-Tata Communications Center for Digital Transformation for their innovative ‘SAKSHAM’ program. This program uses technology like Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and Mixed Reality (MR) to help people learn different skills like welding, electrical work, driving heavy vehicles, operating cranes, and more.
ASDC is committed to providing high-quality training to a wide range of people. They want to help bridge the gap between what industries need and what people know how to do. This not only opens up new opportunities for people looking to learn new skills but also helps them find jobs in various industries. It makes the workforce more skilled and competitive.
Jatin Trivedi, the Chief Operating Officer of ASDC, said they are thankful for the award. They believe that using technology has helped them make education better and reach more people. They are determined to keep helping people through skill development.
ASDC did something really unique too. They created a skill center in a virtual world, called the metaverse. In this virtual world, people from different places can come together to learn and talk in a shared digital room. This is the first time something like this has been done in the world. It brings teachers and students together in a digital world and is a big step in using technology for education.
So, this award is not just a recognition of ASDC’s hard work but also an inspiration for them to keep finding new ways to help people learn, use technology, and make India’s future brighter.
