In the biopic named “Main Rahoon Ya Na Rahoon Yeh Desh Rehna Chahiye Atal,” played by Pankaj Tripathi, who is known for portraying intense characters, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the former prime minister of India, will be portrayed.The movie, which is scheduled to be in theatres around Christmas 2023, is based on Ullekh NP’s book “The Untold Vajpayee: Politician and Paradox.”Even though the movie had been publicised much earlier, the filmmakers struggled with which character to cast as the protagonist. After considerable procrastination, the lead role in the movie, which will be helmed by Ravi Jadhav and scripted by Utkarsh Naithani, has been given to Mirzapur actor Pankaj Tripathi.
The narrative of “Main Rahoon Ya Na Rahoon Yeh Desh Rehna Chahiye- ATAL” centres on the journey of the former prime minister, a co-founder and a top Bhartiya Janata Party official (BJP).After learning of the offer, Pankaj Tripathi, who is overjoyed, remarked, “It’s an honour to play such a humanitarian politician on TV. He was much more than just a politician; he was also a renowned poet and a skilled writer. For an actor like me, getting to walk in his footsteps is nothing but an honour.
