BJD MP Sasmit Patra Demands Passage Of Women’s Reservation Bill At The Earliest

Through a Special Mention in the Rajya Sabha, BJD RS MP Dr. Sasmit Patra called for the passage of the Women’s Reservation Bill in the Indian Parliament today. According to him, the Women’s Reservation Bill’s passage in Parliament will be a historic step toward the empowerment of India’s 66 crore women. especially given that India is now holding the G-20 Presidency and is commemorating 75 years of independence. According to Dr. Patra, India can display its accomplishment to the world by having the Women’s Reservation Bill approved by Parliament. Through this Bill, a 33 percent women’s reservation would provide women with new leadership chances and aid India in becoming the finest country in the world.

Dr Patra stated, “My leader and Chief Naveen Patnaik and our party the Biju Janata Dal have been advocating for the passage of the Women’s Reservation Bill for many years. In 2018, Naveen Patnaik dispatched representatives from the Biju Janata Dal party to 22 political parties in an effort to win their support for the Women’s Reservation Bill. His idea was also backed by other political parties. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Shri. Naveen Patnaik made sure that women candidates received 33% of the party’s Lok Sabha seat tickets, and several of them are already Lok Sabha MPs. Patra stated.
