National vice-president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Baijayant “Jay” Panda, reportedly received a death threat. The threat call was received by a Jay Panda assistant, according to a press release from the office of Baijayant “Jay” Panda.
The caller threatened that “Jay Panda will receive the same treatment as Naba Das” On January 29, this year, Odisha Minister Naba Kisore Das was fatally shot in broad daylight. On Wednesday, a report was made to the Delhi Police regarding the threat call, and the police have since started an investigation.
“We are unable to tell if this poses a genuine threat or was a childish joke. A complaint detailing the threat call’s full specifics was filed with the Delhi Police yesterday, who are looking into the situation since a message like that shouldn’t be taken lightly, according to the statement.
