Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Inaugurates MSME Trade Fair 2021; 320 Stalls Into Five Sections

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the MSME Trade Fair-2021 organized at the Exhibition Ground, Unit-III which will be successful despite the pandemic that hit last year.

The event was inaugurated through video conferencing where CM Patnaik expressed his happiness regarding the trade fair and stated that despite the Coronavirus pandemic situation, Odisha has been able to organize the MSME Trade Fair this year.

The Odisha Government will do everything to go the extra mile to help and encourage the MSMEs to participate and will contribute to building a vibrant and globally competitive new resurgent Odisha. CM also mentioned that with the cooperation of all Odisha managed to successfully overcome the COVID-19 health crises. The impact of the worldwide lockdown and the covid-19 pandemic has been far beyond the public health sector and due to the restrictions which were required to control the spread of the virus, the economy has been severely affected.

Regarding the losses incurred by the MSME, CM Patnaik stated that the MSME sector has been most affected and the time taking to recover will be a little while. To support the MSME sector the government has announced a special package. He also ensured that the state government will continue to engage with the MSMEs and minimize the COVID-19 impact.

As per the report, the funds for the MSME department will be substantially increased by the Odisha Government in the next state budget. The State government has worked closely with millions of micro-entrepreneurs in the form of Mission Shakti groups.

Talking about the Startup, Naveen Patnaik said that Odisha is doing well in the Startup scenario due to which the state has been recognized at the national level as a leader State adding to the future of the industry. To provide a better eco-system, my Government is constructing a State of art incubation center in Odisha known as O-Hub.
