New Delhi: As per The Union Home Minister Amit Shah Recently Issue a notification for the implementation of Citizen Amendment Act tonight, Sources Informed.In December 2019 it was passed by the parliament, The act was the first time that religion had been overtly used as a criterion for citizenship. amid violent protests and fierce resistance from opposition politicians and the chief ministers of non-BJP states. Over 100 people were killed in those protests.
In a post on X, Union Home Minister Shah said, “The Modi government today notified the Citizenship (Amendment) Rules, 2024. These rules will now enable minorities persecuted on religious grounds in Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan to acquire citizenship in our nation. With this notification PM Modi has delivered on another commitment and realised the promise of the makers of our constitution to the Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, Parsis and Christians living in those countries.”Amit Shah Wrote on X.
As per the report of ANI Agency-Before 2015 It was issued that The indian govt can grant indian nationality to non-hindu miagrants from Bangladesh,Pakistan.But now Online portal has been updated,and rule regulations has been alredy set up,Those applicants can disclose entry year without their travel document, No other documents will be required.
It was clearly said by the union Minister that it will be mandatory for the implementation of CAA right before the lok sabha elections, which is to due in April/May.He also added that There is no suspence that the CAA will come into effect before the lok sabha election.Amit Shah Added.In December, at a rally in Bengal, Mr Shah had lashed out at Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee again – this time ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha election – accusing her of misleading the public.And now, as the CAA nears notification (and implementation), opposition politicians, including Ms Banerjee, have spoken out again, insisting it will not be enforced in their respective territories.
