Odisha reported 3,922 new with the single-day exposure with the cumulative case to 2,09,374. The death toll has now reached 797, with 14 more patients succumbed to death due to Coronavirus within the last 24 hours.
Of the new cases reported from across 30 districts, 2,309 were detected from various quarantine centres, while 1,613 are local contact cases. Around 1, 65,432 people have recovered from COVID-19 while 39,184 are active cases.
Three COVID patients succumbed to death in Cuttack and Khordha including two from Bhubaneswar. Two deaths each were reported from Jajpur and Kendrapada district. One death cases were reported in Gajapti, Bolangir , Dhenkanal and Subarnapur area.
According to the Health and Family Welfare department Khordha district reported 818 positive cases followed by Cuttack -380, Angul- 200, Keonjhar- 212, Puri- 184 and Bargarh- 154 cases. Around 41936 samples via Antigen testing were done and 67 samples via Truenant testing which makes the total number of samples tested across the state as 3111766
