Across the globe, Virat Kohli has been a role model for millions of budding cricketers and the latest addition into his fan club is Australian opening batsman David Warner’s second daughter.

Warner’s wife Candice recently revealed that her middle child is a big fan of Virat Kohli. The Australian couple has three girls Ivy-Mae (6), Indi-Rae (4), and Isla Rose (1), and you will be astonished that their middle child’s favorite is not legends like Ricky Ponting and Adam Gilchrist but Indian skipper Virat Kohli.

“We do play a little bit of backyard cricket. The funny thing is my girls, sometimes they want to be dad, sometimes they want to be Finchy (Aaron Finch), but my middle child wants to be Virat Kohli. And I am not even joking; her favorite player is Virat Kohli. She is the rebel,” Candice said to Triple M Sydney radio station.

Candice also spoke that the competitive spirit of her daughters when they play with David Warner at home.

“The kids blow up because David bowls bouncers to them, and they are only like 6 and 4. They are like, ‘Dad, no bouncers or don’t spin the ball.’ The sledging still happens in the backyard,” Candice added further.

However, in the upcoming series between Australia and India, Warner and Kohli will be playing against each other.

The India tour of Australia will commence with three ODIs, three T20Is, and four Tests and all set to begin from November 27 in Sydney.

Kohli will be playing the first Test against Australia, and he will return to India as BCCI granted his paternity leave.

BCCI has also confirmed that Rohit Sharma will not be available for the limited-overs series and he is going to be a part of the Test squad definitely.
