Elon Musk the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX lamented the “entitled” and “complacent” character of people of the United States and applauded the “smart” and “hard-working“ people of China in the first segment of a three-part interview with Automotive News.
Automotive News Publisher Jason Stein inquired Musk, ” How about China as an EV strategy leader in the world?”
Musk responded, ” China rocks in my opinion. The energy in China is great. People, there are a lot more smart and hard-working and not entitled or complacent, whereas I see in the United States much more complacency and entitlement especially in places like Bay Area and L.A and New York.”
While the US had not supported him through his business, with considerable tax breaks, regulatory credits and other government help. On the other side, Chinese government officials helped Tesla secure loans worth $1.6 billion to construct and begin manufacturing vehicles at the company’s relatively new Shanghai factory last year.
Elon said, “Tesla has had the least government support of any car company.”
Musk stated that the car sales going forward will be the standard after Covid-19. The idea of selling them through stores will gradually decrease and the idea of delivering them directly from the company to be the standard norm.
Elon Musk has now been in the top 10 richest men in the world as reported by Bloomberg’s billionaire index with an estimated wealth standing at $67.7 billion. However, at the beginning of the year, Elon was at $27.5 billion wealth and now with a sudden unforeseen jump of $41 billion, it has been predicted that Elon is likely to beat the biggies.
