Last night Delhi Capitals made another remarkable win over Chennai Super Kings at Sharjah and grabbed their position top on the table. However, the franchise has been relentless in its pursuit of the top spot in the 13th season of IPL.

While chasing the target of 180 runs, DC took the match to the last over with needing 16 runs off it. However, Shikhar Dhawan was batting on 101, and Axar Patel had just come to the crease.

At the crucial stage, CSK captain MS Dhoni had two choices Dwayne Bravo and Ravindra Jadeja. Bravo has much experience in the death overs, but Dhoni surprisingly went with Jadeja. MS Dhoni plans fail, and Jadeja conceded 22 runs off the last over. As a result, DC seal the deal and beat CSK by five wickets.

On being asked about that, MS Dhoni said, “Bravo was not fit. He went out and didn’t come back. The options were Ravindra Jadeja and Karn. I went with Jaddu.”

“Shikhar’s wicket was important but we dropped him quite a number of times. If he keeps batting, he will keep the strike rate high. Also, the wicket played better in the second half, but we can’t take the credit away from Shikhar,” Dhoni further added.

In Jadeja’s last over, Axar shows his extraordinary batting skill and hit three sixes and chase the target with one ball to spare. However, Dhawan had also survived a scare on 99 in the penultimate over. Umpire gave him out, but he took the review, and the replay confirmed that there was no edge.

With the win over CSK, the Shreyas Iyer led side DC has regained the top position in the points table with 14 points.
