Like the coin has two sides, the game also has two sides win and lose. No one knows when and what anything can happen. The three times IPL champion mighty CSK lost seven matches out of nine matches this season so far and lost their hope for playoffs.

On Monday, CSK suffered a convincing defeat against Rajasthan Royals at the Sharjah to dent their hopes of getting into the top-four. CSK skipper MS Dhoni after winning the toss, decided to bat first and could only manage to score 125 runs in their limited 20 overs.

However, the small target of 125 runs RR chase down effortlessly in 17.3 overs with Jos Buttler (70-48 balls) sensational batting performance and beat CSK by seven wickets.

CSK batsmen look sloppy, and it was a very disappointing performance by the CSK batsmen as they failed to perform on a crucial matchday. The chance of CSK reaching the IPL 2020 playoffs departed as they defeat from RR.

Skipper MS Dhoni wasn’t happy with the defeat and said that the youngsters did not show the spark needed to break into the playing 11 at the veterans’ expense.

Three-time winners CSK have been criticized for their seventh defeat in the ongoing IPL.

At the post-match presentation ceremony, MS Dhoni said, “You don’t want to chop and change. Insecurity is something you don’t want to prevail in the dressing room. Fair enough, this season, we weren’t really there.”

“Also, the youngsters, we didn’t see the spark to push the guys. But what this result has done is give those youngsters a chance in the rest of the tournament. Maybe going forward, we bring them in, and they play without pressure,” Dhoni further added.

After being invited to bowl, RR bowlers look best in their business and restrict CSK to a modest 125. The sensational partnership between Jos Buttler (70) and skipper Steve Smith (26) save the match, and RR chased down the target effortlessly in 17.3 overs.
