While Chennai Super Kings facing Kings XI Punjab in their final game of the ongoing season of Indian Premier League 2020, fans are excited to see what will be MS Dhoni’s last appearance in IPL 2020.
This time the three-time champions mighty CSK are not able to make it through to the playoffs. However, the expectation is that the CSK franchise will be making significant changes going into the next season. This is the first time in IPL history that CSK has played and not qualified for the playoffs.
There is chaos everywhere. Is this the last time Dhoni would be playing for CSK in the IPL? Hence, commentator Danny Morrison asked, “Could this be your last game in yellow?,” to CSK captain MS Dhoni at the toss.
But MS Dhoni emphatically said, “Definitely not my last game in yellow,” and saved the heart of his fans. “I felt the boys did well to stay relevant, we want to put 100% into our game. We have a few changes. Faf, Tahir and Shardul in; they replace Watson, Santner and Karn,” Dhoni further added.
However, the sensational bowling performance by CSK bowlers and an outstanding unbeaten half-century by Ruturaj Gaikwad (62* of 49 balls) seal the deal for CSK.
The hope of CSK to win over KXIP to end the season on a high came true as they won by nine wickets with seven balls spare.
