Veteran Indian opener Aakash Chopra said Mumbai Indians explosive, talented right-hander batsman Suryakumar Yadav should have named in the Indian limited-overs sides for the Australia tour.

Suryakumar Yadav slammed four fifty-plus scores in the IPL 2020 tournament so far. Suryakumar Yadav’s pivotal role helped MI to reach their sixth final of the tournament; still, he did not find a place in India’s limited-overs squads that will travel to Australia after IPL.

“The voice repeatedly comes from the heart that Suryakumar Yadav should have been on the Australia tour,” Aakash Chopra said in his official YouTube channel video.

However, Suryakumar has been one of the most consistent performers for MI in the last few seasons. He scored 512, 424 runs in 2018, and 2019 respectively. This year Yadav has already scored 461 runs at an average of 41.90.

Suryakumar scored an impressive half-century in Qualifier 1 of IPL 2020 against Delhi Capitals and lead MI to a 57-run victory over DC. Apart from Suryakumar, Ishan Kishan also impressed everyone so far the season.

“Ishan Kishan’s name should also be there along with Sanju Samson and Rishabh Pant in the list of prospective wicketkeeper-batsmen for the Indian team,” Aakash Chopra added further.

Aakash Chopra also took the name of Hardik Pandya and mentioned his outstanding knock 37* off just 14 balls against DC, which helps MI to reach 200.

“Ashwin was trying to get the DC back in the game but they were not able to take advantage of that. Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, and finally Hardik Pandya blasted them,” Chopra said.

“The Delhi Capitals (DC) won the toss and after that, they did not win anything. That is the only thing they won on the night. They have played the Mumbai Indians (MI) thrice and have lost by nine wickets, 5 wickets, and then 50-60 runs. What are they doing?” Aakash asked.
