On June 10, the southwest monsoon is probably going to arrive in Odisha.
“The monsoon is expected to arrive with favorable circumstances. In Odisha, the southwest monsoon typically makes its appearance during the second week of June. In the next three to four days, the monsoon is predicted to arrive in south Odisha, according to Manorama Mohanty, head of the India Meteorological Department in Bhubaneswar.
On June 5, the southwest monsoon arrived in Kerala. The southwest monsoon has advanced over the whole south Arabian Sea, some areas of the central Arabian Sea, Lakshadweep, Kerala, portions of coastal and south interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and some areas of the Bay of Bengal, according to the most recent information published by IMD. And by June 10, it’s probably going to get to Odisha.
In the meantime, the districts of Rayagada, Nabarangpur, and Koraput have received a yellow warning from IMD. It is anticipated that these districts will see significant rainfall.
The arrival of monsoon will give much-needed push to agricultural activities which have taken a hit due to scanty rainfall in the state.
