The former Indian Captain Cool MS Dhoni writes on twitter about the Rafale fighter jets’ induction and congratulates the Indian Air Force. Dhoni called the pilots that they are the world’s best fighter pilots.
Dhoni wrote that with the Final Induction Ceremony, the world’s best combat-proven 4.5Gen fighter plane gets the world’s best fighter pilots. In our pilots’ hands and the mix of different aircraft with the IAF, the potent bird’s lethality will only increase.
Dhoni also said, “wishing the Glorious 17 Squadron(Golden Arrows) all the very best and for all of us hope the Rafale beats the service record of the Mirage 2000, but Su30MKI remains my fav and the boys get the new target to dogfight with and wait for BVR engagement till their upgrade to Super Sukhoi”.
Dhoni is currently in the UAE to participate in the upcoming season of Indian Premier League (IPL 2020), and he will be in action in a competitive match for the first time since playing the ICC World Cup semi-final last year 2019.
In the opening match of IPL 2020, Chennai Super Kings take on Mumbai Indians on September 19. However, he announced his retirement on August 15 from all formats of international cricket.
The five Rafale aircraft arrived on July 27 at Ambala Air Force Station; today, they were inducted to the Indian Air Force’s 17 Squadron ‘Golden Arrows’.
