Today Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik spoke with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in personal conversation and demand for postponement of this year’s NEET and JEE exams in Coronavirus view pandemic and flood situation.
He discussed the PM’s issue via telephonic conversation and requested the Prime Minister to defer the NEET (UG) and JEE-Mains exams scheduled to be held in September.
The steady rise in cases of Covid19 in Odisha and the current flood situation in several parts of the State is adversely affecting the aspirants’ preparations and may also prevent them from participating in the tests.
A few days before CM Naveen grab the attention of Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal in deferring the NEET and JEE exams.
NEET (UG) has been slated for September 13, while JEE (Mains) is scheduled to be held from September 1 to 6.
