Odisha witnessed a slight spike in the daily positive COVID cases. While less than 11000 cases were recorded on Monday, in the last 24 hours as per the records of the I and PR department, Odisha has recorded 11,086 new Covid-19 cases. What’s alarming is 1061 cases are coming under the category of 0-18 years of age.
Khorda district accounted for 30 percent of the total cases with 3,469 cases followed by Sundargarh with 1416 cases. Cuttack reported 767 cases, Mayurbhanj (393), Balasore (323), Sambalpur (302), Bolangir (300), Jajpur (275), Jagatsinghpur (273), Kalahandi (253), Keonjhar (223), and Koraput 196 cases.
The death rate has also increased by 2 people. While on Monday 2 people passed away due to COVID 19, the number of deaths Tuesday was recorded as 4. One person each from Cuttack, Kendrapara, Koraput, and Sundargarh died due to COVID 19.
