Rhea arrived at the office of Enforcement Directorate at about noon with her father as well as her brother for being questioned. The ED got involved after an FIR was lodged by Sushant Singh Rajput’s father K.K Singh in Rajiv Nagar Police station in Patna where she was accused of money laundering, harassing the actor and pushing him to death.
Rhea was interrogated about her source of income in the last three years, movable and immovable properties, bank transactions and firms with her having an official position. They include three start-ups that Sushant Singh Rajput with his girlfriend Rhea and her brother Showik had started.
The other two properties in the name of Rhea were scrutinized by the ED as Rhea’s net worth had increased from 10 lakhs to 14 lakhs. One of the properties of Rhea in Mumbai’s Khar was brought in 85 lakhs in which she paid Rs 25 lakhs down payment and Rs 60 lakhs loan.
The area was about 550 sq ft. The second flat was in the name of her father who brought it in 2012 paying around Rs 60 lakhs with an 1130 sq. ft area in Ulwe, Raigarh district.
Rhea’s brother, Showik Chakraborty was also asked about the different firms and why money had been transferred on his name from Sushant Singh Rajput’s account. He was allowed to leave after about two and a a half hour of questioning.
Ritesh Shah, Rhea’s CA was summoned to provide the details of the actress’s bank account and business transactions in the last two years. He appeared after skipping two summons with an excuse of heavy rain.
The former business manager of Sushant who is also accused in the case, responded to ED’s summon and was asked to submit the details about the projects and money which Sushant received in the past two years and left the office around 7:30pm.
Rhea left the ED’s office at about 8:35 pm yesterday after being grilled for about eight and a half hour.
Meanwhile, as the death case of Sushant is dealt by CBI, a special investigation team has been set up to go through every minute details associated with the case.
