The United States has been hit hard by cyberattacks. U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has spoken out on the issue for the first time. He said the attack was carried out by thousands of federal agencies against US private and federal organizations. He has blamed Russia for this. “Russia is pretty clear behind cyberattacks” he said.
Pompeo is the first person in the Trump administration to blame Russia for this. Mike Pompeo said he could not say for sure. This is because the embed code of the United States government system has been tampered with by third-party software when we have properly unpacked it. Now all computers, whether public or private, are the same.
Experts say cyberattacks have blinded the U.S. government by targeting third-party software. It has violated the federal system, including the country’s Department of Energy, the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of State and the Treasury.
But while incumbent President Donald Trump is still silent on the issue, newly elected President Joe Biden has said he will take the country out of the situation as soon as he takes office. “We prioritized cyber security in the election, and as soon as we take office, the new government will take the first step,” Biden said.
