Virender Sehwag’s show ‘Viru Ki Baithak’ gained much popularity throughout the entire season of IPL 2020. In the ‘Viru Ki Baithak’ show, Sehwag presented his analysis of all pre and post-match events through his social media handles.
However, the show ‘Viru Ki Baithak’ became a hit in no time due to Sehwag’s unique presentation skills. Ganguly spoke highly of the show and called it one of the reasons behind the high ratings of IPL 2020.
Sehwag shared his latest picture on Instagram and wrote, “When nothing goes right, go left #virukafunda #chill #life.” Commenting on his post, BCCI president Sourav Ganguly wrote, “You are looking fit and handsome… one of the reasons of IPL ratings so high was because of Veeru ka baithak.”
Looking towards the rising number of COVID-19 cases in India, IPL 2020 was entirely arranged in UAE under a strict bio-secure bubble with BCCI’s rigid health protocols in place.
The much-anticipated tournament was expected to begin during March 2020 but postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, it successfully hit the floor on September 19 and got winded up fortuitously on November 10.
The defending champion of 2019 Mumbai Indians yet again took home the prestigious trophy for a record fifth time in the history of IPL.
The IPL 2020 league saw a noticeable spike in its viewership by 28 percent compared to the previous season. The desperate cricket fans didn’t get to see any cricketing action in a while due to the COVID pandemic, contributed heartily to skyrocketing the views for this year’s IPL.
