1. Can you share the story behind the establishment of Mundra Jewels and its journey to becoming the largest showroom in Sambalpur?

Established by my father, Sri Kamal Kishore Mundra, almost four decades ago, Mundra Jewels began as a modest 120 square feet silver jewelry retail shop in Marwaripara, Sambalpur. Through the years, buoyed by customer trust, we expanded our offerings to include gold jewelry in 1998-1999. Today, our grand 3500 sq ft showroom in Shanti Nagar stands testament to our journey and growth.

To remain abreast of contemporary trends, we actively attend annual exhibitions in Mumbai, Kolkata, and Ahmadabad. These visits provide insights into the latest fashion trends emerging in metropolitan and tier I cities. Committed to offering our customers the latest styles, we endeavor to incorporate these trends into our showroom offerings.

4. Can you describe your approach to sourcing and selecting the gemstones and materials used in your jewelry?

We curate our jewelry collection by partnering with the top 100 manufacturers across India, selecting pieces from renowned cities with distinct specialties. For instance, antique jewelry from Ahmadabad, temple jewelry from Coimbatore, stylish and rose gold pieces from Mumbai, bangles from Kolkata, Odisha-style jewelry from Cuttack, and exquisite diamond jewelry from Surat. Our diverse sourcing ensures a comprehensive range that reflects the unique craftsmanship and styles of each region, offering our customers a rich and varied selection.

5. How do you ensure the quality and craftsmanship of your jewelry products?

As previously stated, we procure our jewelry exclusively from India’s premier manufacturers, specializing in both gold and diamond pieces. Our commitment to quality is evident through the BIS Hallmark, HUID certification, and international lab validation. This meticulous approach ensures that our customers receive jewelry of unparalleled quality and craftsmanship.

6. What marketing strategies have been most successful for Mundra Jewelers in reaching and attracting customers?

Our promotional efforts extend across various channels. Social media serves as a dynamic platform for showcasing our latest designs and exclusive offers. Additionally, we utilize hoardings and wall paintings strategically placed in and around Sambalpur district. Pamphlets and vibrant storefront displays further contribute to our marketing outreach.
