Sourav Ganguly’s Wife Dona Lodges Police Complaint Over Fake Facebook Page

Dona Ganguly, wife of commentator and former national cricket team captain Sourav Ganguly lodged a police complaint about a fake Facebook page in her name and several pictures along with Ganguly and daughter Sana were shared by the fake account.

The police are investigating the case and stated that soon they will catch the culprit and the team is probing the matter to find out who is behind it. The IP (internet protocol) address used to create the Facebook profile has already been identified. Several photographs of the former India captain and current BCCI president with his wife and daughter Sana were posted in the fake account.

Dona Ganguly came to know about the fake account from one of the students and immediately complained to the police. As per PTI, she said- “Yes, a page using my name and Dada’s (Sourav) photos has been created on Facebook. I was informed by one of my students about this. We have complained with the police. At times people post remarks which others start thinking as ours, creating confusion which I don’t want to happen. Hopefully, police will help me close this fake account.”

Dona Ganguly’s original Facebook account has 34K followers, but the fake one has already attracted over 70,000 followers.

BCCI President Sourav Ganguly Discharged From Kolkata Hospital

President of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly is discharged from Kolkata’s Woodlands Hospital after six days being in the hospital.

During a workout session, Ganguly experienced a sudden blackout and moderate chest pain at his Behala residence on 2nd January. He was later shifted to the Woodlands Hospital where he underwent angioplasty. After the news broke out, fans gathered in front of the hospital as well as in front of his residence near Biren Roy Road at Behala so that he can catch a sight of Ganguly.

According to the IANS report, Ganguly after discharged from the hospital stated that he is completely fine and also thanked the doctors and nurses at the hospital for the treatment and care. “I’m keeping fine. I have come back to life,” said Ganguly after reaching his residence.

Even earlier Devi Shetty, a Cardian surgeon examined the BCCI chief while visiting to Kolkata and informed that Ganguly batting was stable and could be discharged soon. He had three blocked coronary arteries and a stent was inserted in one to remove the blockage. A nine-member medical team had been formed to look after him, as suffered a mild cardiac attack.

According to hospital sources, Ganguly will have to follow a strict guideline for the next two weeks along with some medical tests.
