The impeachment case against former US President Donald Trump has been dropped. There was voting in Senate on the impeachment motion on Saturday. He received 58 votes against him and 43 in favor of him. So Trump did not get a majority to convict. In addition, the impeachment motion has been cut for the second time.
The 100-member Senate has 50 members from both the Republican Party and the Democratic Party. Trump was in the trial for provoking protesters to create violence at the Capitolhill.

Earlier, the U.S. House of Representatives decided to call witnesses to a 55-55 vote against Trump. Both sides decided not to call witnesses because it took time. There would even have been a delay in discussing a number of important issues concerning Trump.
Members of the Democratic Party wanted a hearing on Trump. However, it was clear that it would take time for witnesses to arrive. Even Joe Biden’s many important proposals were likely to be delayed.
