A Hyderabad based jeweller bagged the Guinness World Record for the maximum number of diamond set in one single ring. In the social media site, the Guinness Book shared the records and informed that the number of diamonds set in this ring is more than that found in an ordinary jewellery store.
Kotti Srikanth has Hyderabad-based The Diamond Store by Chandybhai, which is a unit of the Hallmark Jewellers made use of an around 7801 diamonds. He placed the jewels in a ring-shaped like a flower and presented it to the big book of records. The motivation for the ring came from a unique flower congenital to the Himalayas called ‘Brahma Kamalam’. The ring is named as ‘The Divine – 7801 Brahma Vajra Kamalam’. Even previously the record was set by Indian-based Lakshikaa Jewels, which made a Lotus Temple Ring out of 7,777 diamonds.
Srikanth stated “The flower picked due to the artistic traditions in India. The country appreciates Gods using garlands made of flowers, while individual flowers are the offerings. Flowers, in the culture, mean the essence of purity. Along with his team who worked on various flower designs, before settling on the Camellia genus of flowers as that had the most scope for a fusion of traditional thought with the contemporary, while also having a visual appeal”.
Guinness shared a video shared where it showed that the team worked on several flower ring back in 2018. Upon the conclusion of the design, a computer-aided design (CAD) was used to determine the number of diamonds required to make the ring. The addition of the diamonds necessary was also a long process because the team wanted to assure that all the diamonds used in the ring were uniform.
