According to the intel, two teams were sent out, and Asad and his assistant Ghulam were caught while riding bikes, Kumar said.According to Kumar, the STF led the entire operation. After acting on the intelligence, the two were killed between 12:30 and 1pm in retaliatory shooting.According to The Times of India, the STF was already keeping tabs on events in Jhansi when it learned that Guddu Muslim, an aide of Atiq Ahmed and one of the suspects in the murder of Umesh Pal, had a hideout close to the forest area leading to Parichha power plant, one kilometre from the scene of the encounter.
