As the first unitary technical institution in Odisha, Veer Surendra Sai institution of Technology (VSSUT), Burla created history in 2009. It is unique in that it was the state’s first technical university, with a distinguished 67-year history from its founding in 1956. The university has around 40,000 alumni spread throughout Odisha, the United States, and other countries. With approximately 250 faculty members—of whom an astounding 90% are PhD holders—VSSUT demonstrates its dedication to academic achievement by offering a superb setting for research, teaching, and learning.
