Youth Prodigy Subrat shines again with his sand art of Goddess Durga

A twenty-four year old boy named Subrat Kumar Maharana hailing from Siminai, Dhenkanal again hogged the attention due to his unique sand art that is currently making rounds in around the locality. On the occasion of Durga Puja Subrat made a Sand art of Goddess Durga, decorating it with different materials like ice-cream sticks, incense sticks, match sticks, flowers and colours making it more beautiful and iconic.WhatsApp Image 2021-10-15 at 6.02.57 PMIt took him around six long hours to complete the sand art of Goddess Durga. A few month back he had made a replica of the proposed Shri Ram temple at Ayodhya with ice-cream sticks for which he had garnered many appreciations and accolades and aspires to make a world record someday with his art.

His sand animations and sand arts on content like “save the elephant,” “Stop Child labour” to name a few has given him many recognition as well as  sending awareness messages to the society through this arts.WhatsApp Image 2021-10-15 at 6.02.57 PM(2)When asked about how did he got the interest to do all these, he replied ” from childhood I have seen my grandfather and father doing many sort of art works, from their I have sourced the interest of doing all these.”

Currently Subrat is continuing with making of Sand art, stone art and temple art which is helping him to earn some amount of money.
