The 110th meeting of the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) held today under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary of Odisha, Shri Suresh Chandra Mahapatra (IAS) approved 12 industrial projects worth INR 2,082.17 crores that would generate employment opportunities for over 3,612 people in the State.
SLSWCA gave a nod to National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) to set up a 3.5 MTPA Over Land Conveyer (OLC) Corridor in Pottangi, Koraput district, against an investment of INR 732 crore, which will generate employment opportunities for over 229 people.
The committee has approved three downstream Steel units. ASL Enterprises Ltd to set up a 5,00,000 MT TMT Rebar mill. 1,00,000 MT downstream products of Hot rolled MS, Fabricated Structures and Equipment for Railways and Steel Plants by PSPL Steel Processors Pvt Ltd, and 6,000 MT Cut to Length CR& HR Coil, 14,400 MT Slitting, 3,000 MT Blanking & Stamping, 3,000 MT Forming unit of steel downstream products facilities by Khetan Viniyog Pvt Ltd, in Kalinga Nagar, Jajpur district against investments of INR 167.03 crore, INR 150 crore, and INR 50.1 crore which will generate employment opportunities for 500, 310 and 238 people respectively.
Apart from that, the panel gave nod to set up 1,50,000 MT Rolling Mill, 0.6MTPA Pellet Plant, Coal Gasification Unit 32,250 NM3 and 10 MW coal based CPP at Hirma in Jharsuguda district, by Konark Ispat Limited against an investment of INR 379.2 crores with employment opportunities for 1,165 people.
IFGL Refractories Limited got the approval for expansion of their project by adding 14,700 MT Monolithics and Slide Gate Plate facilities at Kalunga Industrial Estate, Lathikata, Sundergarh, at an investment of INR 66.27 crore, which will generate employment opportunities for over 410 people.
The committee gave approval to Oddiyaana Eco Resorts Private Limited for setting up Hotel-cum-resort facility along Marine Drive against an investment of INR 128 crore with employment opportunities for 264 people and Lifeline Multiventures Pvt. Ltd. for Hotel-cum-resort facility – “Konark East Horizon” against an investment of INR 100 crore with employment opportunities for 266 people in Balukhand, Puri district. Hotel Sukhamay Private Limited for expansion of their existing hotel “The Crown” against an investment of INR 88.09 crores generating an employment opportunity for 60 people in Nayapalli, Bhubaneswar, Khurda district. And, Aspen Lake Suites LLP for a 5-star resort facility against an investment of INR 69.23 crores generating an employment opportunity for 60 people.
Approval was also given to CtrlS Datacenters Limited for setting up a Datacenter facility offering co-location managed cloud hosting services Infocity Industrial Area in Bhubaneswar, Khurda, at an investment of INR 152.25 crore, which will generate employment for over 110 people.
The Government’s primary focus has been on the employment-intensive sectors like Metal downstream, Food Processing, Tourism, and Plastic industries which employ thousands of employees in a single unit. Considering the huge skill force in this domain, such industries create massive employment in the State.
