12-Hour Dhenkanal Bandh on November 17 against TPCODL

Dhenkanal – A 12-hour Dhenkanal Bandh has been called on Monday, November 17, from 6.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m., in protest against the alleged arbitrary actions of TPCODL and the ongoing installation of smart electricity meters across the district.

 

The decision was taken at a meeting held on Tuesday at the Dhenkanal District Bar Association Hall, organised by the Electricity Consumers’ Action Committee. Representatives of various political, social groups and intellectuals attended the meeting and extended their support.

Addressing the media, Dhenkanal District Bar Association President Gopal Patra said that the bandh will be observed on Monday, November 17, and appealed to the residents of Dhenkanal to extend their full support to make the protest successful.

During the bandh emergency services, including hospitals, ambulances, and medicine shops will remain operational.
