In a horrifying case, two groups of thirteen people in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, are accused of gang-raping a seventeen-year-old girl. The victim was gang-raped by 11 accused, all of whom were allegedly photographers at RB Beach here, after she was sexually assaulted by her boyfriend and his accomplice. The crimes, which were committed between December 17 and 19, were discovered as a result of a police report regarding a missing person. She was brought to Visakhapatnam after being located in her home village in the nearby state of Odisha. Eleven suspects have been taken into custody by the police, and two more are being sought in Jharkhand.
On December 18, the girl’s father filed a complaint, prompting the Fourth Town police station to open a missing person’s case. She was a maid in the home of a government employee. She was left alone to look after the owners’ pet while they were on vacation.
After locating the girl in her home village in Odisha, the police transported her to Visakhapatnam. It took the victim some time to disclose what had happened because she was in shock. On the basis of her statement, police began their investigation on December 31 and filed two cases under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act.
She claimed that on December 17, she and her boyfriend visited RK Beach. At a lodge, the boyfriend and his friend sexually assaulted the woman. The girl, who was shocked by this, went to RK Beach and considered suicide. When a beach photographer saw her by herself, he offered to assist. He brought her to a lodge, where he and his accomplices sexually assaulted her. It is reported that she endured two days of sexual assault.
