More than 1,200 metric tonnes of oxygen has been sent to 7 states – ADG Yashwant Jethwa

The corona situation in the country is uncontrollable. In many states, there is a lack of oxygen for Covid 19 patients. Which is being fulfilled by Odisha. Odisha supplies oxygen to many states. Currently, 124,431 metric tonnes of oxygen has been shipped from Odisha, as informed by ADG Yashwant Jethwa in a press meet.

Yashwant Jethwa added that so far, 124.431 metric tonnes of oxygen has been sent in six trucks in the police escort. Of these, 454.3 metric tonnes of oxygen was shipped to Andhra Pradesh in a maximum of 22 trucks. Similarly, 14 oxygen trucks have been sent to Telangana, six to Maharashtra, six to Madhya Pradesh, four to Haryana, four to Uttar Pradesh and two to Chhattisgarh.

However, the state police has set up 22 flying swaddles in the state to inspect oxygen, medicine and coveted items. Of these, four have been deployed for Cuttack and Bhubaneswar. The team includes Drug Control, STF and Odisha Police. Twenty hospitals and agencies have been warned by the Odisha police not to commit any irregularities in the market. So building action will be taken under the IPC Section and the Drug Control Act against those who commit irregularities.
