Oxygen will reach the home of the covid infected. The government will create a centralized oxygen pool to provide emergency oxygen to home isolated covid patients. The pool will operate under the supervision of the District Magistrate. The district magistrate will have the power to decide whether or not to give oxygen at home in view of the seriousness of Covid patients.

At present, the health department has given quotas to all districts for 20-20 oxygen cylinders. More than 50,000 patients are being treated at home in Delhi. Now, if they need oxygen, they’re going to the hospital. However, they are facing a lot of harassment as the beds are not available. With this in mind, the government is preparing to reduce the flow of traffic in hospitals by providing oxygen to homes.

The government has appealed to the people of Delhi to donate empty oxygen cylinders. According to Ashish Kundra, a senior health official, center has been set up at the Rajghat DTC bus depot, where people can donate cylinders. For this information, you can call 011-23270718.

Covid patients living at home can get oxygen cylinders by registering on the Delhi Government Portal www.delhi.gov.in. They have to upload a photo ID, Aadhaar card, Covid test report and a city scan report at the time of registration. Based on this, the district magistrate will provide them with oxygen cylinders. They will also receive a refill from the district’s refinery if necessary.
