Two more Kendriya Vidyalayas will be set up. New Kendriya Vidyalaya will be set up in Sundargarh and Anugul districts of Odisha. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan thanked Union Coal and Mines Minister Prahlad Yoshi for the approval of the Mahanadi Coal Field (MCL8) board.

Dharmendra Pradhan wrote a letter to Sundargarh Lok Sabha MP Joel Oram, Bargarh MP Suresh Pujari and Dhenkanal MP Mahesh Sahu on September 20 last year. The letter sought personal intervention by the MCL to set up three Kendriya Vidyalayas in Sundergarh, Jharsuguda and Anugul districts. “Students in the district can benefit from this,” he said in a letter.

In response, Prahlad Yoshi wrote a letter to Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan saying that the MCL board had approved the establishment of one Kendriya Vidyalaya in Bashundhara in Sundargarh district and one in Jagannath and Subhadra areas of Angul district.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary National Education Policy 2020 is at the forefront of educating more and more students at the primary education level. Prahlad Yoshi said the establishment of Kendriya Vidyalaya in the mining area would allow students to get quality education and fulfill the aspirations of the locals.
