High Court to remain closed for 7 days in view of a surge in the COVID 19 cases

The High Court will remain closed for seven days. The High Court is expected to close from May 20 to May 27. The decision was made in view of the increase in corona infections in Cuttack. On the one hand, it has decided to close the high court after an increase in infection and the identification of some court employees infected. The High Court has issued a directive on the full shutdown. The Registrar’s Judiciary can be contacted for an urgent hearing.

Notably, the number of corona infections in the state is on the rise. The number of new cases being detected on a daily basis is slowly increasing. However, in the last 24 hours, 1,1099 corona positive cases were detected, according to the state health department. Adding to this, the total number of corona infections in the state has reached 644401. Of the infected, 6,214 were in quarantine and 4885 were local cases.

On the other hand, the second highest cases of corona after Khordha has been identified from the Cuttack. In the last 24 hours, 867 corona cases have been reported from Cuttack. At the forefront is Khordha. The district has the highest number of 1460 cases of infection in 24 hours, according to a tweet from the state Department of Health and Family Welfare.
