Black fungus is declared as epidemic in Odisha. The state government announced on Thursday. According to the Epidemic Disease Act 1987, the black fungus has been declared a pandemic. The central government has recommended that the Black Fungus be declared an epidemic. A statutory notice was issued today by the state government.
Notably, many people have been found to be suffering from black fungus even after recovering from corona. According to experts, people with low levels of immunity have been found to have the disease. It is lethal.
Earlier, the central government had recommended that the black fungus be declared an epidemic. In the meantime, the central government has recommended to all state governments to declare Black fungus an epidemic. The number of black fungus patients in the country is increasing day by day. So now the Center has advised everyone to be vigilant and fight the virus.
