The fifth phase of the Subhadra Yojana’s first installment has been declared by the Odisha government. According to the Chief Minister’s office, the second installment would be credited on March 8, which is International Women’s Day, while the fifth phase funds will be distributed on March 6.
It is anticipated that more over 1 crore recipients will receive financial help for their economic empowerment from the second installment. The Odisha government’s flagship initiative, the Subhadra Yojana, was created to directly give women from economically disadvantaged groups financial support.
Eligible women between the ages of 21 and 60 are given Rs 50,000 over five years, with Rs 10,000 paid out each year. For the scheme’s execution, the government has allocated a total budget of Rs 55,825 crore. In the fourth phase of the Subhadra Yojana, the government has already disbursed Rs 900 crore to nearly 18 lakh women.
