9 Places In Odisha Record 40 Degree Celsius Or Above

The temperature in Odisha rose in nine places which recorded 40 degrees Celsius or more in the last 24 hours as informed by the Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar.

According to the Meteorological Centre’s report, Boudh recorded the maximum temperature of 40.8 degree Celsius leading by Bhubaneswar which was the hottest at 40.4 degree Celsius followed by Bolangir 40.4, Sonepur 40.2, Angul 40.1, Baripada 40, Malkangiri 40, Titalgarh 40, and Nayagarh 40, informed the Met Centre.

 Maximum temperature (Day temperature) is expected to rise by two to three degrees Celsius over the districts of interior Odisha during the next 2-3 days.

Meanwhile, the maximum temperature will likely be above normal by 3 to 4 degrees Celsius at many places in Odisha. The dry weather is expected to prevail in the State till 28 March. However, light to moderate rain or thundershower might occur at one or two places in Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara districts on 29 March.

The Meteorological Centre has also issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms and lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kph in one or two places in Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, and Kendrapara districts on 29 March.

On 30 March, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, and dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.

On 30 March yellow warning for thunderstorms and lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kph is expected to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur.
