In October 2023, Odisha recorded the fourth-highest Net GST collection ever, amounting to Rs. 1853.98 Cr (OGST + IGST settlement). With a collection of Rs. 1853.98 Cr in October 2023, Odisha achieved the fourth-highest Net GST (OGST + IGST Settlement) collection ever. With an 18.21% growth rate, the average monthly tax collection (OGST + IGST Settlement) through October 2023 was Rs. 1744.30 Cr, compared to an average tax collection of Rs. 1475.61 Cr through October 2022.
Among the aforementioned, the OGST collection in October 23 is reported to have been Rs. 1306.47 Cr, a growth rate of 23.43%, compared to the collection of Rs. 1058.38 Cr in October 22. On October 23, the Commissionerate of CT & GST, Odisha, collected Rs. 2831.17 Cr. under all Acts, including OGST, IGST Settlement, VAT, Entry Tax, and Profession Tax.
With a growth rate of 12.78%, the average monthly collection under all Acts for the FY 2023–24 (up to October 23) is Rs 2677.98 Cr, while the average collection for the FY 2022–23 (up to October 22) is Rs 2374.49 Cr. In terms of gross GST collection (CGST + IGST + SGST + Cess), the State reported collecting Rs. 4176.94 Cr in October 23 compared to Rs. 3769.44 Cr in October 22, representing a growth rate of 10.81%. Up 10.72% from the same period in FY 2022–2023 to October 23, 2023–24 will see a progressive Gross GST collection of Rs. 30893.17 Cr.
In comparison to October 2023, 21.19 lakh waybills were generated. 16.65 lakh waybills were generated in October 2022, a 27.26% increase that reflected the economy’s vigor.
