Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik Awards ‘Mukhyamantri Shikhya Puraskar’

On Wednesday, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik presented “Mukhyamantri Shikhya Puraskar” awards to district and block education officers, students, teachers, alumni committees, gram panchayats, and districts for their efforts to transform education into a social movement and bring about a revolution in the educational system as part of the 5T initiative.

Two categories of prizes were offered: individual and institutional. In 16 departments, 7,519 awards were awarded. A total of Rs 138 crore in prizes were awarded.

For their top matric test performance, 2,027 deserving students, 700 instructors, 419 headmasters, 58 coordinators of regional resource centers, 10 block education officers, and 3 district education officers were given awards in the Individual Prize (Secondary) category. Similarly, in the Individual Prize (Primary) category, 319 teachers and 350 headmasters received awards.

In addition, 4 districts, 10 blocks, 1057 schools, 419 school management committees, 419 alumni committees, and 414 gram panchayats have received awards in the Institution (Secondary) category. Further, 1307 schools have been awarded in the Institutional (Primary) category. Apart from this, in the district education and training institutes category 3 Institutional prizes were given. These prizes were given for the overall development of school education and the intellectual development of the children.
