Up to Phase III of the Odisha twin elections, almost 94,000 voters used their right to vote by mail. Voting was done via postal ballots for those with disabilities, seniors over 85, emergency services personnel, and government officials assigned to electoral duty.

Furthermore, a large number of senior citizens, 85 years of age and beyond, used the home voting option, which was made available in the state for the first time during this election. According to the Odisha CEO’s office, some voters also used PVC and PBFC to cast their ballots.
