Exterior Of Govt Buildings In Odisha To Get Orange Shade With Red Border

The Mohan Charan Majhi-led BJP government in Odisha has approved Orange as the uniform color code for all government buildings, with Red serving as the border, following the October 1 change to the color and design of uniforms for Class IX and X students attending government and government-aided schools in the state. In this respect, the Works Department on Monday sent a letter to all Chief Engineers under the Works Department as well as the Engineer-in-Chief (Civil-cum-Roads), Engineer-in-Chief (DPQ), Engineer-in-Chief-cum-MD, and OB&CC Ltd.

“… I am directed to communicate the approval of Government to adopt uniform colour code henceforth for all new Government buildings as well as existing Government buildings at the time of periodical repair/renovation work,” reads the letter issued by the EIC-cum-Special Secretary, Works Department.

According to the authorized color code, the outside wall should be orange shade {rgb mix (254,190,152)}, and the border should be red shade {rgb mix (177, 85, 79)}.
