Bhubaneswar, March 26, 2026: The Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar Kalinga, in partnership with Indian Bank under its CSR initiative, today successfully flagged-off a Customized Mobile Eye Testing Van on March 26, 2026 at 5:30 PM at Odisha Knowledge Corporation Limited (OKCL), Jaydev Vihar, Bhubaneswar.
Rtn. Manoj Kumar Tripathy, District Governor, RI District 3262, formally flagged-off the vehicle, while Smt. Aruna M, Field General Manager, Indian Bank, conducted the official handover to JPM Rotary Eye Hospital, Cuttack. The hospital will now operate the van to deliver free eye care services to underserved and remote communities across Odisha.
Past President Rtn. Ajit Kumar Mohapatra, Chairman Project Right to Sight, made significant contributions in coordinating this landmark project.
Rtn. Dr. Manoranjan Puthal, President, Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar Kalinga & Managing Director, OKCL, said, “This flagship ‘Right to Sight’ initiative marks a significant milestone in eliminating preventable blindness. The Mobile Eye Testing Van will bring quality eye care directly to unprivileged communities.”

Indian Bank’s CSR commitment through Smt. Aruna M’s leadership enables comprehensive eye screening, prescription glasses distribution, and referral services for surgeries. The van features advanced diagnostic equipment for on-spot testing.
