NIT Rourkela Ranked 186th In THE Asia University Rankings 2026

In the Times Higher Education (THE) Asia University Rankings 2026, the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela has reached yet another noteworthy milestone by placing 186th out of 929 universities in 36 Asian nations and territories. The institute, which was ranked 191st the year before, has steadily improved. Its steady advancements in academics, research production, and regional institutional growth are all shown in this increasing trend.

NIT Rourkela is the top-ranked National Institute of Technology (NIT) in India, coming in at eighth place overall. Notably, it is the only NIT listed in this edition of the rankings among the top 200 colleges in Asia.
