With a motive of empowering women and girls and to train them with Self-defense exercise techniques, Er. Master Soumyabrata Sahoo started a robust initiative in 2013 which he named as “Mission Suraksha” with the punchline as “one step towards safety.” As of now Soumyabrata and his team has already conducted more than 1000 self-defence awareness and training workshops which focuses on training women and girls across the state with basic self-defense techniques.
This initiative of Soumyabrata has brought him many Laurels and appreciations. Today “Mission Suraksha” has already provided free training to tens of thousands of women and girls in different schools, colleges and other Institutions across the State. 
Founder and chief trainer Soumyabrata Sahoo said, “During 2013 I have created Mission Surakhya for women empowerment and women safety, it was started locally during the initial days and spread all across the state, today we also provide free training in social media platforms.”
Soumyabrata and his team is giving their best to conduct these workshops even during the time of pandemic through virtual mode. Online free training classes are being regularly conducted. Also many video teachings of the same are being uploaded in the “Mission Suraksha” social Media handles.
