Krushna Chandra Mohapatra, Minister of Housing and Urban Development (H&UD), emphasized the need of affordable housing in ending slums and guaranteeing that all Bhubaneswar residents may live in dignity. The Minister emphasized the aggressive measures being taken by the State Government to make homes more accessible for slum dwellers while speaking at the opening of a significant real estate and housing exhibition hosted by CREDAI Odisha.
“Affordable housing is the key to building a slum-free Bhubaneswar. We are committed to ensuring that every citizen has access to safe and sustainable shelter,” said Mohapatra, adding that government initiatives are aligned with the goal of inclusive urban development.
Cuttack MLA Sofia Firdous, who graced the occasion as the guest of the evening, praised CREDAI Odisha for hosting the grand event. “This expo will create valuable job opportunities for the local population and significantly contribute to the state’s economy,” she said. Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari also graced the occasion.
The nine-day exhibition, which is set for April 20–29, 2025, is a vibrant venue that unites a variety of stakeholders, including top builders, banks, producers of construction materials, electronics companies, interior designers, and tile makers. The purpose of the event is to serve architects, design professionals, real estate investors, and prospective homeowners. Visitors may examine the newest advancements in eco-friendly building materials, smart home technology, and lifestyle ideas that are ready for the future. The exhibition will also include talks on current trends in urban housing, architecture, and infrastructure, as well as interactive workshops and expert panels.
