Today is an auspicious day for Muslims all around the world. After the holy month of Ramzan, today is the day of celebration for the community in form of Eid. Moreover, Delhi’s Jama Masjid is one of the most popular places where Muslims offer prayers on the occasion of Eid.
However, for the past two years, Jama Masjid was closed on accounts of COVID 19. This year, however, the devotees finally had the opportunity to go back to the holy place of Jama Masjid to offer prayers on Eid-Ul-Fitr.
“Best wishes on Eid-ul-Fitr. May this auspicious occasion enhance the spirit of togetherness and brotherhood in our society. May everyone be blessed with good health and prosperity,” Modi, who is on a three-nation Europe tour, said in a tweet.
Also taking to Twitter, President Kovind said: “Eid Mubarak to all countrymen, especially Muslim brothers and sisters! This festival is celebrated after the holy month of Ramzan is a holy occasion to strengthen brotherhood and harmony in the society.
